Weather & Season

There are various season categories that can be chosen by swiftlet breeders or cultivators so that swiftlet birds can nest and breed in their swiftlet houses.
Weather & Season of Sound Playing
Why we must consider the weather?
We have to consider the season when playing the swiftlet sound because swiftlets tend to migrate to seek warmer places during the winter and return to their home range during the summer. By knowing the migration patterns of swiftlets, we can determine the right time to play the swiftlet sound so that we can attract their attention to spend the night at our swiftlet house. In addition, in different seasons, the level of activity and the number of swiftlets in an area can vary, so choosing the right time can affect the success of attracting swiftlets to spend the night at the swiftlet houses that we manage.

Rainy Season
The rainy season is a breeding time for swiftlets because food is easy to find around them. In a short time, they can meet their food needs and find partners to breed. In moist air, swiftlets that are ready to breed will begin to be aroused and seen flying fast while squeaking to chase their partners. This phenomenon is often seen around the swfitlet building.

Breeding Season
Swiftlet do two types of mating, namely in the air and on a fin board. Mating in the air is done with the female swfitlet flying at a minimum height of 30 meters above the ground, then turning her body while the male swfitlet attaches her body to mate. However, this method is ineffective and often fails, so the swifts that do successfully mate repeat the process on the flipper board. After mating, the swfitlet will build a nest in a damp place.
Right season and frequency settings
